The coming James Bond film called “Bond 23” has been suspended due to a cash crisis. Directed by Sam Mendes, the film was going to be released on 2012. Producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson announced that due of MGM Studios financial troubles, production of “Bond 23” has been suspended. Sam Mendes still hopes to direct the film once the MGM situation is resolved.
It has been confirmed that it could be years before the secret agent with a licence to kill is back on the big screen. The production company has confirmed in a statement yesterday: “We really don’t know when development will resume and we cannot comment further at this point.”
Daniel Craig, 42, won a lot of fans for his debut as James Bond in Casino Royale. That 2006 blockbuster took U$S 600 million at the global box office. Its sequel Quantum of Solace raked in U$S 590 million.
